The Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched an AI-powered dust portal 2.0, the dust pollution control self-evaluation web portal and application.
The web portal has been developed by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC); its advanced digital platforms include an AI in the portal. It helps monitor dust control and construction and demolition sites in real time.
The portal will enable the project developer to carry out their own compliance while also helping authorities monitor a construction site from the data.
According to the press release, the Delhi environmental minister, Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and the senior officers were also presented in the press conference. A live demonstration of the dust portal has presented how AI achieves more efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

The Delhi CM also said the digital challan is currently in progress. After the notice regarding the new update and challan has been issued on the portal. This will reduce the chance of irregularities and make it more convenient for the people.
Rekha Gupta said the Delhi government has an aim to use AI and technology so that they could protect the Delhi environment. She stated the goal to make Delhi the world’s cleanest, greenest, and most environmentally responsible capital. Every technology that promotes accountability, transparency, and great public participation will help Delhi move closer to achieving the goal.
Officials said this portal made a map of the construction site and uses an AI monitor. There are five key control measures: red, yellow, and orange; these will occur when pollution rises.
As per the Delhi government data disclosed, dust from the road and construction activities contributed 27% during the summer and 15% in winter. The dust expected from the 66% from the PM 10 emission and 38 % of 2.5 emission in the city
The official said the Dust 2.0 portal has been undeveloped for over a year. This portal helps to reduce pollution by adding a new EV policy and imposing a 70 lakh plantation drive.
