On Saturday morning, Delhi police took Sonam Wangchuk away from the 21-day hunger strike protest at Jantar Mantar due to Delhi High Court orders for his health concerns.
Delhi police have forcefully taken him to Delhi Saftarjung Hospital. He was admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital, as per the sources of the news agency ANI. When Delhi police took him, he was mentally stable.
The CJP founder, Abhijeet Dipke, stated that he went to his friend’s house for a freshen-up, and when he came back to the protest area, Delhi police refused to go inside. He stated that all the things happen in order of PM Modi.
Now Dipke has started indefinite fasting at Sonam Wangchuk’s place. Dipke said, “Sonam Wangchuk wants to protest in Parliament; it will be, and he wants the resignation of PM Narendra Modi.
Delhi Police said to protesters as much as possible to vacate the jantar mantar peacefully.
Activist Sonam Wangchuk’s wife, Gitanjali Angmo, tweets on X:
“I am at Safdarjung Hospital, where he has been admitted. Nothing should be administered to him, orally or intravenously, without taking his consent from me, his family, or his doctor, who has been monitoring his health for the last 20 days.
The deputy commissioner of police, Sachin Sharma, spoke to the media: Sonam Wangchuk was moved to the hospital by the permission of the Delhi High Court order for his health monitoring, medical attention, and supervision of his health.
The Delhi High Court questioned the Delhi administration about monitoring his health and providing essential nutrients to him if he needs them. Sonam Wangchuk denied breaking the indefinite fasting strike.
Sonam Wangchuk denied breaking his indefinite fast, and he insisted on joining a parliament on 20 July. He was requesting the people join them as well.
“I may have grown physically weak, but my spirit remains strong,” Wangchuk told supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar a few days earlier. His remarks were met with loud applause and cheers from the crowd, who responded with an enthusiastic show of support.”
