Traffic Advisories Issued Due to Janmashtami Celebrations

Several advisories have been issued with the upcoming celebrations and processions for Janmashtami celebrations around key temples. These include the Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham Temple in Narela, Birla Mandir in central Delhi, ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash and many more. Areas around these temples are to be affected.

Traffic Advisories Issued Due to Janmashtami Celebrations

A large number of gatherings is to be expected at Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham Temple in Narela. The advisory is to be held from 7 am on September 4 to 1 am on September 5. The NH-44 stretch between Singhu Border and Mukarba Chowk is likely to be affected. Motorists and commuters are advised to take the UER-II and Palla-Bakhtawarpur Road as alternative roads.

Traffic moderation and security has also been arranged at Laxmi Narain Mandir, also known as Birla Mandir, on September 4. Entries are to be made through Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs). Mobile phones, cameras, battery devices, handbags, and food are prohibited inside the temple. Vehicular movement will not be allowed on Mandir Marg between the Panchkuian Road roundabout, Park Street roundabout on Kali Bari Marg, Udyan Marg, and Peshwa Road.

Gatherings at ISKCON temple in East of Kailash will affect the traffic around Outer Ring Road, Sant Nagar Marg, Nehru Place, and adjoining roads, as well as Captain Gaur Marg. 

Shree Jagannath Shobha Yatra will pass through Dashrathpuri and Palam-Dabri Road, traffic along the procession route to be affected.

Thousands of devotees are expected to gather at these places to participate in Janmashtami prayers and festivities. Temple authorities and traffic police are focusing on making sure the celebration goes smoothly and traffic movement is maintained.

Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to follow official instructions. All traffic-related updates will be available through the Delhi Traffic Police website, social media, WhatsApp service and traffic helplines.
