
Delhi government will launch a new EV portal in 4 to 5 days, the transport department said. Allowing consumers to purchase a vehicle and enroll online under the Delhi EV Policy 2026.
The new EV policy: verified applicants will receive purchase and scrapping financial benefits into a bank account Via direct benefit transfer.
Officials said, “The buyer must upload the essential documents and the dealer’s purchase certificate.” Scrapping incentive: The owner submits a certificate from a scrapping facility with proof of a new EV purchase.
After a portal launched, an EV buyer could apply within 30 days for a registration certificate (RC) to issue an incentive. As per the policy, the incentive is only allocated to two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and N1 trucks, and the scrapping incentive for the replacement of old vehicles
In the subsequent phase, the portal will include EV charging stations, authorised scrapping vendors, dealer contacts, and a new policy.
Officials confirmed electric car buyers and other categories are not eligible to receive the incentive. The road tax and registration fees waiver will apply automatically at registration time.
